The Message part 10. The Same message Forever
The message is the Good news about Christ and what He has done for mankind. This news is same from the beginning. It is hinged on God’s eternal purpose. When God made man, why did He MAKE man ? Please do well to read the previous parts of this series before you continue .
Part 1. Christ the only message worth preaching.
Part 2. The sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow.
Part 3. One message, different topics and emphasis.
Part 4. Ministry is in the message.
Part 5. The Message is beyond results.
Part 6. The Message is beyond experiences, supernatural encounters.
Part 7. The Message is beyond mediums
Part 8. The Message is full of grace
Part 9. Commitment to the message
Romans 1
1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
The message is the gospel of God. Note verse 2 that it was promised in the Holy scriptures. It is not a new message. In Genesis to Malach which is called the scriptures we have the gospel as a promise. It was this same message that was preached to Adam. What brought about the fall was Adam’s failure to believe the message. You can read more on this here: What happened in the garden part one and part two.
This message is concerning Jesus. All of God’s dealings with man has always been in the light of Christ.
Colossians 1
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: note
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
First notice that we have been translated to the kingdom of Jesus from the kingdom of darkness. It is in this Jesus that we have forgiveness of sin. The verses above further describe who this Jesus is. He is the image of the invisible God. By Him all things were made. It is by Christ all things constitute. The message of God is centred on Christ. God has never changed. What he said from the beginning is what He is still saying. Believe in Christ and have life.The whole essence of Christ’s death was to pay for the sin Adam brought into the world. Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What God gives is eternal life. This the core aspect of the message of Christ.
Remember it is the same gospel of Christ that was preached to Abraham.
Galatians 3
7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Note verse 8. The GOSPEL was preached to Abraham before hand. The blessing of Abraham is Faith in the gospel of Christ.
Reading through Genesis to Malachi you will see the gospel in different forms communicated to different persons. Many times the issue is that it is communicated in dark sayings, proverbs, prophecies, mysteries. But, Glory to God, we have the explanation of that same gospel in the epistles. So anything you read in Genesis to Malachi you can easily turn to the epistles for the explanation. Same message of Christ forever, in Genesis to Malachi mystery, Matthew to John, the message put on flesh and walked the earth, Acts the message shown in men that has the spirit (the promise) and in Romans to Jude, we have the explanation of the message. Now, we can read and understand the mystery.
Ephesians 3
1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, note
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
The dispensation (administration/stewardship ) given to Paul just like many other apostles of Christ was to reveal the mystery of Christ in the scriptures (Genesis to Malachi). Our responsibility is TO READ what has been revealed. The Greek word for read in verse 4 is anaginōskō. It means to distinguish between, to recognise, to know accurately, to acknowledge. It is not just a casual reading. It has to do with to study to know. We are to study to understand the revelation of the mystery as given to the apostles. We are privileged to have it revealed already. Same message forever. We keep learning Christ. He is the truth. He is the revelation and the revealer. Him we preach.
Ephesians 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Christ is our teacher through His spirit. He is the curriculum.

In summary , we have looked at many details about the message of Christ in this series. We have seen that Christ is not one of the messages. He is the ONLY MESSAGE. If we must preach it must be Jesus we preach.
Acts 5: 42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
The apostles preached only Christ. He is the only one worth receiving persecution for. If the apostles were teaching the law in their time they wouldn’t have been persecuted. They were persecuted for Preaching that name Jesus and remission of sins in Christ. Acts 4: 18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. This message we must preach and be committed to despite oppositions and threats. We will preach this message of Christ. Tell the world that this Jesus paid for the remission of their sin so they can have the life/spirit of God. This is the message of Christ that is preached from the beginning.

This Jesus is the message
This Jesus is our forgiveness
This Jesus is our righteousness
This Jesus is our savour
This Jesus is our peace
This Jesus is our sanctification
This Jesus is our acceptance before God
This Jesus is our life
This Jesus is all in all for us.
A generation has risen. It is a generation that preaches Christ. For your relevance in this generation will be only to the degree you are preaching Christ. We are lifting up the banner of Jesus, spreading the knowledge of Christ to every corner on this earth. It is the dawning of vibrant ministers with the message and the miraculous. Hallelujah.
