CHRIST THE SAVIOUR IS BORN

CHRIST THE SAVIOUR IS BORN

Compliment of the season
It is the celebration of Christmas which is believed to be the birth of Jesus. It is one thing to know that Jesus was born. It is another thing to know why He was born. Before the birth of Jesus, the prophets have been speaking of his coming. Words have gone ahead. The word that they have been speaking about became flesh and dwell among men. The Angel of God that appeared to Joseph made a profound statement about the essence of Christ coming.
Matthew 1: 21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Notice the above scriptures stated that Jesus was born to save people from sin. What does this mean ? Why is He named Jesus  which means saviour? In fact, the Jews were expecting Him to be a physical saviour that will save them from the bondage  of the Roman.
First, let’s look at the meaning of the word save. What does it mean to save? It means to deliver, to rescue and to keep. When one is save he is rescued from  someone, something or a place to another place. Matthew 1:21 tells us that Jesus came to save men from their sins. Adam brought sin into the world. Romans 5:12. Sin brought death into the world.
The wages of sin is death. Romans 6:  23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Sin has a penalty. It has a consequence. It is death. Jesus was born to die for sin. How He was to save people from sin was by dying for sin.  THERE IS NO SAVIOUR LIKE JESUS. He saved by laying down His life.  Even while we were enemies He died for us. Imagine you dying for an enemy of yours .
Romans 5: 8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Christ death is an act of love. The love of God made Him to become man in Christ in order to die for man.
He has Taken away all our sins
John 1: 29  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Christ is symbolically refer to as the lamb of God. This is because lamb is used for sacrifices for sin under the law.  This Jesus became the eternal sacrifice of sin for the whole world. Now the sins of the world have been taken away.  No sin can forever separate man from God.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN WE SAY CHRIST DIED FOR MAN ?
The implication of Christ death is that the punishment of sin has been fully paid for. The full penalty of sin for mankind was laid on Jesus. The intent of paying for this sin was so man can have life. Now there is no more sin hindrance  between man and the life of God as intended from the beginning. The sacrifice was paid for all mankind. ALL IT TAKES FOR ANY MAN TO BENEFIT  AND HAVE LIFE IS TO BELIEVE. Agree in your heart that Jesus died for your sins then you will receive the life of God and be forever free from condemnation and death.
John 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 5: 24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Men can only be condemned when they reject the offer of the saviour Jesus. Therefore the hallmark of knowing that Jesus was born is in putting faith on His death, burial and resurrection. This is the gospel. This is the GOODNEWS that God became man to die for man so He can live in man.
Looking at this saviour Jesus, you will see that He saved to the end. He doesn’t change His mind in the process. Anyone that believes in Him can never be lost.
Hebrews 7: 25  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
John  6:  37  All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39  And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
The will of God is that none be lost in  Christ. In fact if someone is lost it will show the incompetence of Jesus. Many times people forget that the saviour Jesus is the one keeping us. We are not the ones that saved ourselves. It is out of God’s faithfulness  that NO MAN can be lost once the person is saved.

GIVE THANKS TO GOD FOR

A SAVIOUR WAS BORN

HE WAS BORN TO DIE FOR MEN’S SIN

HE DIED AND ROSE TO LIVE IN MAN

NOW WE CAN BOLDLY SAY OUR SINS HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY PAID FOR

NOW GOD CAN LIVE IN US AND THROUGH US

NOW WE ARE ASSURED THAT HE HAS SAVED US FOREVER FROM SIN, THE DEVIL AND DAMNATION.
