THE MESSAGE PART 5. BEYOND RESULTS

THE MESSAGE PART 5. THE MESSAGE IS BEYOND  RESULTS
Christ is the message. Him we preach. We do not  preach what people desire. Apostle Paul said, the Jews seek signs and the Greeks wisdom, we preach Christ which becomes the sign and the wisdom to them that believe. 1 Corinthians 1:22-24. So far in this series, we have seen several details about the message of Christ. We have seen that it is one message centred on the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow. We have also seen that ministry is in the message. For proper understanding of this fifth part, please read the previous parts of the series.  Click the links to Read PART ONE, PART TWO,  PART THREE AND PART FOUR.
In this part, we will be looking at the fact that the message is beyond results. Many times people feel that a man’s ministry or endeavour working is a proof that he is doing the right thing.  I often hear people say result is the main thing . Yes it is very very good to have results. These results may be spiritual manifestations or even material things.  So if a man has several testimonies, does it mean that he is PREACHING Christ? Result  is not a proof of correct doctrine.  Do you realise that even diabolical people and native doctors have results? Now let’s  look at the scriptures.
Numbers 20
1  Then came the children of Israel, even  the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.
2  And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
3  And the people chode with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!
4  And why have ye brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
5  And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.
6  And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.
7  And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
9  And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
10  And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
11  And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
12  And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

Something happened in the above scripture, the Lord told Moses to speak to the rock to give water. Moses instead struck the rock twice with his own rod and water came out. Go back and read verse 10 to 12. You will notice Moses did not deliver the message God gave him. Out of anger, he called the people rebels which God never called them. Notice in verse 12, God told Moses HE DID NOT BELIEVE.  Now though Moses didn’t believe, the water still came out. There was result. MOSES DID THE MIRACLE IN UNBELIEF.  He didn’t sanctify the Lord before the people. In other words, Moses didn’t portray God as he ought to.
You may say man of God that man has raised several  dead people.  He has done so many miracles. He has built auditoriums. He has acquired several material things. Yes all these are good. But they are NOT ENOUGH REASONS TO BELIEVE HIM if he is not preaching Christ. Never forget anybody can have most of the results even without Christ. The only RELEVANCE OF A MINISTER IS  in him PREACHING CHRIST. A minister is someone who serves and delivers the exact content he was given not adding to it. This was explained in part 4 of this series. We are not given to results. We have results both spiritual and material results.

YOU CAN MOVE IN POWER IN WRONG DOCTRINE
When we say result is not the proof of the message does not mean you should not have results as a believer. The man in Christ is blessed with almighty power. This man has symptoms of power as we see in Mark 16:16-20. We cast out devils, heal sick people, do miracles and do supernatural exploits. That is the normal Christian life. Notice in doing this we show God in Christ. So that you don’t think I am against result, since this year, there hardly  have been any week I have not gotten a sick person healed. In fact I feel sick when I stay some days without doing anything supernatural.  Divers healings and miracles have been recorded even via phone calls. Yet, we proclaim Jesus. You must realise that power doesn’t respond to doctrine. This is why you must make a deliberate effort never to use your power contrary to the doctrine/message  of Christ.  A Minster must have his primary loyalty to the  message he was told to deliver.
Many people have used results by God’s power to serve their bellies. Many to serve Satan or men. Others to cause divisions. For example you can use a word of knowledge to destroy relationships even marriage relationships. That is using God instead of God using you. God can  never use you outside Himself in Christ.  Imagine someone revealing sin with the power of God, that person is a minister of condemnation. He is serving the  devil with God’s power.  This ministration of the devil has glory but it cannot be compared to the glory in Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:6-18. Remember in this message, Sins are not imputed. GOD does not impute sin in that he died for those sins. If a minister now sees sin and reveal it unto condemnation, such a person is serving the devil, the accuser of the brethren. To see sin is easy. To see evil is easy. Depth in the prophetic is your ability to see gold among the sins. Imagine this scenario, you saw a brother and sensed he just lied. Is one thing for you to tell him, you are liar, you can never be used of God because of your lies. It is another thing to tell the person, God loves you despite your lies. He is still interested in you. He is living in you. You have to depend on God knowing that His nature of righteousness is in you.  The first reply is serving the devil in condemnation by God’s power.  The second reply is serving God by ministering grace to the hearer. We have several messages on how to manifest power. Like the series on prophecy part 1, part 2, part 3. The story of the gods part 1 and part 2, the visibility  of God’s  spirit. Please click on them to study them properly.
Many people have used the power of God for personal gratification. They use word of knowledge, one of the ability of every believer to get people’s details. Then mandate them to sow some kind of dangerous seed. That is serving  your belly. Imagine a minister who tells you your date of birth and many other details, tell you that they have tied you in the pot and that for you to be loosed, you have to give  a seed to him. That IS NOT GOD. THAT IS NOT THE MESSAGE. In the MESSAGE, we know that the devil has been made powerless. So when you sensed anything demonic on someone, you REBUKE the devil. The devil responds to authority not seeds. But you say, I did it and it worked. That is what we are saying. That it worked doesn’t mean it is correct. Imagine the day you don’t have what  to give, so the devil will finish you? Dear mighty man in Christ, live like a believer, use your authority. So what  will I do when I see something like that? Rebuke the devil! You don’t  ignore that powerless fool. You rebuke  him with your mouth  not with your seed. For more on this  read THE POWERLESSNESS OF THE DEVIL.
Romans 16 :
17  Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Notice the admonition to mark and avoid such people. Don’t say because they have results you keep following. These people use good words, nice speeches to collect people money. We avoid them. I am for giving even to ministers but it must not be as a practice outside  the message of Christ .
In summary, the message is centred on Christ. Any result we must project must be subject to it. God is seen only in the light. Not in the dark. Any ministration or result that shows forth and glorifies the work of darkness is not in the message. No matter how much the results are, no matter who has the results is not enough reason to believe the person if he is not preaching Christ. But what of encounters and messages from supernatural experiences ? Watch out for the next part.

A generation has risen. It is a generation that preaches Christ. For your relevance in this generation will be only  to the degree you are preaching Christ. We are lifting up the banner of Jesus, spreading the knowledge of Christ to every corner on this earth. It is the dawning of vibrant ministers with the message and the miraculous. Hallelujah.
